Pirith Chanting Ceramony
The chanting of Pirith, so popular today is used to exorcise evil spirits and to protect a person or society from evil influences and pestilences. It is a magical ceremony taken into Buddhist ritual. The mandapa or the canopy, the sacred water-pot, the sacred thread, and incense are key items of this magical rite.
The Crystal Martin Katunayake facility hosted overnight Pirith chanting event at the site. The efforts of all employees of Crystal Katunayake made the chanting ceremony a huge success.
The pirith chanting ceremony included, overnight pirith chanting in the special Mandapa (Canopy) and Offerings to the monks to gain blessing for Crystal Martin and all our valued employees good health and a prosperous year ahead.
